ABOUT US
We are a friendly, inclusive athletics club based at Wodson Park in Ware, Hertfordshire, affiliated to England Athletics. We welcome athletes of every ability from age 8 (school year 4) upwards.

Our experienced and dedicated coaches run a number of varied sessions during the week.
​
The Academy is for our younger athletes from 8, until they are ready to move to a more specific event group.
​
The other groups are sprints (100m/200m), 3/400m, middle distance and hurdles. Along with throwing and jumping events we aim to cater for all athletes.
​
The HAWCs compete in the EYAL & EAL leagues with opportunities to compete in higher level leagues for our more experienced athletes

We train at the Stuart Storey Athletics Track which is located within Wodson Park Sports and Leisure Centre in Ware.

Stuart Storey Track
When Wodson Park Sports and Leisure Centre was being developed, Stuart Storey, an Olympian and former British 110m hurdler (Mexico 1968) was determined to ensure that Ware had a first class athletics facility to encourage and promote track and field events. The track was opened by Sebastian Coe in July 1996.
